After studying sculpture at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, David Romberg became passionate about filmmaking. He began his film career exploring film and video technologies as a visual artist, while at a film residency program at the Neue Galerie in Graz, Austria. This residency led him to pursue his M.F.A. degree, in Film and Media Arts at Temple University. David is currently in postproduction for his feature length documentary filmed in Brazil called “Man of The Monkey”. The film has been supported by the Tribeca Film Institute's Latin American Media Arts Fund Heineken VOCES Grant, The Princess Grace Foundation Grant and was selected to participate in the 2014 IFP Documentary Labs Program. David has also recently become a fellow of the Robert Flaherty Seminar and was awarded a Princess Grace Special Project fund to develop his upcoming docu/fiction film "The Return".
